What if "Global Warming" is wrong?

It still doesn't matter, there is hardly any argument strong enough to derail America's embrace of alternative fuel and energy independence. The scientific community FULLY acknowledges that there is Global Warming, but what if:

Government sponsored research into alternative energy and greater fuel efficiency might just pay off in every way imaginable, even if the climate change worries are totally off the mark!

Does it make sense to allow our entire economic fate to be held in the ruthless palm of the House of Saud and the bin Laden family, protecting their profits and keeping a tenuous hold on dwindling, finite supplies of oil half a world away with the blood of our youth and the treasure of our nation?

Or might it make sense to lead the world in new technology and create jobs at home using a proven fusion of science, business, and policy? The former means preserving the status quo---along with permanent bases in Iraq and elsewhere for the next fifty years. More of the grim tragedy, never-ending expense, and unpredictable chaos we've seen far too much of for the last three years.

What decent, freedom-loving citizen can argue against that? Even if you don't believe in global warming and you skip out on the movement to correct this problem any rightwing nut can see that we're a nation of FREEDOM and LIBERTY seeking to liberate ourselves from the influence of Saudi Royal buttfuckers and the Oil Cartels!

Note: if the shit hits the fan because not enough was done to solve Global Warming, please make sure you look your grandkids in the eye when you explain to them why you doubted it and failed to act!

Who do you believe?

With all of the lies, all of the cover-ups, and even the undeniable "holes" in the government's version of the events on 9/11, who can say that this video doesn't deserve some consideration?

What are the facts? What is the truth? Who do you believe?

I lost all faith in the words of the Bush Crime Family, I rather take the word of a fellow blogger or a fellow citizen, atleast I know they too are fighting for freedom. I'm through with letting this fascist government try to "scare" me and my country with boogeymen and lies!

U.S. prepares for WAR in the Pacific

President Ike Eisenhower cautiously warned us of the possible emergence of the Military Industrial Complex. Today, big corporations like Halliburton and GE taking in BILLIONS just about each time our Armed Forces lift a finger. You can imagine that they will ensure that we will continue to swallow the costs of this never-ending warfare, with our tax dollars and our lives.

The U.S. just completed the largest military exercise in the Pacific Ocean since the Vietnam war. With North Korea showing off its new Nuclear missiles, we showed off our warships, planes, and missiles too. Guess who paid for the fuel, personnel, weapons, and all the disgusting costs of this international pissing contest? Yeah the citizens of the USA, North Korea, and all the other nations overrun by tyrants and rat bastards at the mercy of the weapon makers and the big oil cartels.

Its gonna get uglier folks. We were mesmerized by G.I. Joe and Rambo for too long, now federal spending is out of control and so is the heartbreaking loss of lives in the name of corporate profits.

... and don't forget to Recycle!

"An inconvenient Truth" is definitely worth watching but I do recommend that you catch up on your "science" a bit. It's not entirely hard to follow but it would help if you knew what an isotope was and were you'd find one. Some will have to watch it a few times to grasp all the knowledge Big AL throws at you. I say we bootleg it when it hits DVDs and pass 'em out like herpes to friends and family. Everyone needs to see this movie!

CHAMPIONS!!!

What a game, what a series, what a team!

Alonzo Mourning's press conference speech was one of the best inspirational moments in television history. Even if you don't watch sports you need to hear what Zo' said, its liable to inspire tremendous hope no matter how unfortunate, crippled, sick, or even healthy you are in life.

Congrats to the Miami Heat. See you at the parade on Friday!

Update:
check out the Alonzo Mourning speech on YouTube.com here.

The Republican party hates Black People

Especially Black soldiers fighting overseas

Honest to God, who the hell has the time or the funds to coordinate this amount of hate?

Greg Palast has uncovered a scheme by the National Republican party to deny African-Americans, especially overseas servicemen/women, the right to vote by illegaly plotting on them and challenging their ballots come election time.

Read the full story here, it goes into detail and even includes a buffet of excuses by the Republican party after being caught with large lists of African-American's names for the admitted purpose of challenging their votes.

I've met lots of good, honest, kind-hearted Republicans over the years and if you are one of them please take note that by continuing to contribute money to the GOP you are funding hate!

Colbert is on fire like the Miami Heat!

This is awesome! Holy wade, I'm not a religious fanatic (like that congresscritter who Colbert eats alive) but even I can name more of the commandments off the top of my head. Embarrassing!

By the way, GO HEAT!

The Beast that will NOT die...

Check out this funny cartoon on the subject of the "war on drugs", I wish more folks would get educated on how prohibition is ruining our communities just as much as the Bush Crime Family is a threat to peace!

Jay-Z bans Cristal over "racist" remarks

That's the word coming out of Sohh.com:

"It has come to my attention that the managing director of Cristal, Frederic Rouzaud views the 'hip-hop' culture as "unwelcome attention." I view his comments as racist and will no longer support any of his products through any of my various brands including The 40/40 Club nor in my personal life" said Jay-Z, via a statement.

Jay-Z and his 40/40 Club franchise will now be serving only Krug and Dom Perignon to patrons thirsting for plush champagne products.

Jigga has power, but he's not Wal-Mart. Those fuckers put Rubbermaid under just for not lowering prices. If Sean Carter had the power to sink Cristal over those racist comments it would be a different story. Lets hope the entire Hip Hop community (the rich ones who care, anyways) and businesses that live off our culture join Jigga in the boycott on Cristal champagne. How about that for "unwelcomed attention" you pricks!

Google vs China?

Yes, the big cheeses at Google are finally rethinking their ways:
Rumblings from Sergey Brin, Google's co-founder, reveal the company's discomfort at having to run a censored version of their search engine in China. Brin was even quoted: 'Perhaps, now, the principled approach makes more sense.'
...
If Google does eventually decide that 'the principled approach makes more sense', it will send out a strong message to the other IT giants presently colluding with the Chinese authorities.

And it could, perhaps, signal a sea-change: if Google and others were to start working together to develop and implement appropriate human rights policies, internet companies could become a force for positive change when operating in China rather than collaborators in repression.

Here in the U.S. we're mad as hell when the Bush Crime Family shits on our Civil Liberties and our privacy, but in China that sort of thing is an everyday thing. No matter where we live on this planet we all ultimately want more liberty and more freedom. China's repressive ways will hopefully stop if we continue to expose 'em!

Beheaded man's father bashes Bush!

Holy fuck!!!
MICHAEL BERG: Well, you know, I'm not saying Saddam Hussein was a good man, but he's no worse than George Bush. Saddam Hussein didn't pull the trigger, didn't commit the rapes. Neither did George Bush. But both men are responsible for them under their reigns of terror.

I don't buy that. Iraq did not have al Qaeda in it. Al Qaeda supposedly killed my son.

Under Saddam Hussein, no al Qaeda. Under George Bush, al Qaeda.

Under Saddam Hussein, relative stability. Under George Bush, instability.

Under Saddam Hussein, about 30,000 deaths a year. Under George Bush, about 60,000 deaths a year. I don't get it. Why is it better to have George Bush the king of Iraq rather than Saddam Hussein?

Read the full transcript, its a beautiful interview where the right-wing cheerleader and CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien had her ass handed to her by Nick Berg's father. O'brien was assuming and urging him to speak favorably of revenge, hatred, violence, and war. Even with his son beheaded on camera by insurgents in Iraq, Michael Berg still prefers peace over violence. Enjoy reading it!

It was a different time then: the Blackstronauts

I'm kinda late on this one but if it's your first time watching this, enjoy!

Funny shit like this online is the reason I don't miss the idiot box anymore. I turned off the TV a while ago (except for sports... Go HEAT!) and now I'm actually more informed than ever before. But you still have to take a break or two for the pleasures of independent time-wasting like this documentary. Enjoy the Old Negro Space Program!

George W. Bush cheats on wife with Chevron Rice!

This made me sick to my stomach, but if this is ever proven to be true then we're in for a world of shit:
Rocky shoals for Bush marriage? Informed sources Inside the Beltway report that First Lady Laura Bush has established temporary residence in the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC as a result of a tiff with President Bush over an extramarital relationship involving her husband. Mr. Bush's tryst is said to involve Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. It is not known how long Mrs. Bush plans to remain at the Mayflower, however, her security detail has been present at the hotel during hours when the First Lady would normally be residing in the White House. While she was National Security Adviser, Rice, who has never been married, referred to George W. Bush as "my husband" before she corrected herself and said, "President. Bush" Rice was speaking at a dinner hosted by New York Times bureau chief Philip Taubman when she made her "husband" remarks.

Bush is a habitual liar, it is not hard to imagine that he'd lie to his own wife also. Keep your eye's peeled for this story.

Rolling Stone: BUSH stole the Presidency!

I've been writing about the stolen 2004 election for the longest. Now that Republicans are waking up to the horrors of this administration they can see the real face of the Bush Crime Family. Rolling Stone's new article drops so much evidence that you'd have to be in the 29% (the backwash) of the lunatics who still support Bush to continue to deny the theft of the 2004 presidential elections.

Check out this quick quote:
''When you look at the numbers, there is a tremendous amount of data that supports the supposition of election fraud,'' concludes Freeman. ''The discrepancies are higher in battleground states, higher where there were Republican governors, higher in states with greater proportions of African-American communities and higher in states where there were the most Election Day complaints. All these are strong indicators of fraud -- and yet this supposition has been utterly ignored by the press and, oddly, by the Democratic Party.''

The Rolling Stone article goes into detail about every aspect of the theft, every player who was involved, and the raw evidence that screams of this crime by the Bush Republicans. After reading it I hope those of you who haven't been inspired to take action yet, do so as of now!

Ice Cube disses Oprah

From HipHopSite.com:
Oprah is Hip Hop enemy #1! First Ludacris, then 50 Cent, and now Ice Cube is jumping in to send some verbal jabs towards the talk show queen. In his recent FHM interview, Ice Cube weighed in on the Oprah vs Hip Hop battle.

"I've been involved in three projects pitched to her, but I've never been asked to participate. For 'Barbershop,' she had Cedric the Entertainer and Eve on, but I wasn't invited. Maybe she's got a problem with hip-hop? She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"

You damn right Ice Cube! Take that Oprah! But will she respond??? - Andreas Hale

Eve is still a rapper last time I checked. But Oprah does generally ignore Hip Hopers. What else do you expect when her audience wouldn't know the difference between Ja Rule and Jeru the Damaja?

The Resume of George W Bush, President.

The funniest part is that this is being circulated thru email by REPUBLICANS!!
Holy fuck nuggets! Republicans are finally waking up and realizing that Bush and the Republican Congress has shitted on this country and everything that conservatives once believed. Its worth reading from top to bottom:
George W. Bush

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history.
My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her. I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.

I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of any President since the advent of television.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.
I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.
I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time.
In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends.
I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.
