Over at DailyKos.com, HollywoodOz brings you a great blog post that connects-the-dots between the various ADs on CNN and FOX and how they're part of the reason why our news is neutered.

Ever noticed on those news channels all those ADs from companies that aint' selling shit to the public? Big chemical companies and military contractors, and even some Big Oil companies, that only service their own industry pay millions of dollars for ADs that never push a single product. Just propaganda telling you how they're "changing the world".

Most of these companies like Dow Chemical, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, ConnocoPhillips, etc, are among the worst offenders of humanity and our environment and for the most part only cater to big business, not your average Joe. So why buy so many ads... on TV?

"Don't bite the hand that feeds you" is the old saying. Because CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, CBS, and all other media whores get millions of dollars from the ADs and in return they make sure we don't see any news that might expose how evil and fucked-up these companies really are.

According to the New York Daily News, Bush knew over 2 years ago that his top aide, Karl "bitch ass" Rove, WAS involved in leaking the identity of a CIA spy.

For the next 2 years Bush then went on TV and the news and promised to "fire" anyone in his administration who was involved in leaking the top-secret identity of a CIA spy in the field of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Yet, with grand jury investigations, indictment news, and even with rumors of Vice President Dick "Go fuck yourself" Cheney being involved (and maybe resigning), Bush still doesn't fire Rove and still acts like he didn't know squat. He lied to the public, again!

There is absolutely NO REASON to support the Bush Crime Family anymore. If you voted for him... please, please for the love of Jesus and Mary come to your senses and do what's right for a change. We need to impeach bush.

Multitudes of Protests Across Colombia

This time their was much work for the inspectors of the so called Ministry of "“Protection"”. For weeks workers, students, indigenous, & campesinos throughout Colombia had been calling for general strike on October 12. Ecopetrol, banks, the Judicial sector, ISS and health entities, ICBF, and companies in 28 departments across the country were just some of those who participated. It is believed that 500,000 workers participated in the strike as well as the teachers & professors who was forced to take a one day vacation. In the capital of Bogota, workers walked out of a bank leaving only the boss, a secretary, and the guards. It was the massive labor presence in the streets were mutually against the free trade agreement with the USA, the price raise in gasoline, general repression,and the possible reelection of President Alvaro Uribe Velez. In Bogota 200,000 people marched and even the mainstream television networks could not hide the multitude of people who were in the streets, even in the momentary clip.

In all cities across the country their were large demonstrations. The Indigenous Minga was attended by a massive human sea in the cities of Pereira and Manizales, while in Sincelejo, the indigenous and labor marches united. Throughout the Southwest of the country various mobilizations took place in cities scattered throughout the region. There was no possibility that Uribe could conceal this protest that damaged his "‘image"’ based on false ballots.

In particular were the agrarian mobilizations that took place in the departments of Cauca, Nariño, Huila, Tolima y Sur de Bol­var. In Tolima and Huila there are 25 campesinos who have been detained. In Cauca, the mobilizations to liberate the land have been brutally repressed by the armed forces and police. Regardless, brave indigenous Guambianos & Nasa as well as campesinos from Silvia, Piendama, Caldono, Corinto, y Miranda have gathered in the thousands. Out of traditional custom, the governor Chaux and the Colombian government have accused the protests of being infiltrated by the FARC as justification for the harsh repression.

"Good Night, and Good Luck" is written and directed by George Clooney and it takes us back to the days when the hater of all haters, Senator Joseph McCarthy, was scaring the public with the so-called threat of "terrorism"... no, sorry, I mean "communism". Imagine, crazy ass right-wing politicians scaring the public and accusing people of being "un-American" for speaking their mind. That couldn't happen today, could it? "Good Night, and Good Luck" shows how journalist Edward R. Murrow had the balls to take McCarthy's ass down. Bitch ass McCarthy!!

"Syriana" is starring George Clooney and Matt Damon and it explores the lives of several players in the world of the Big Oil business. From the middle-eastern radical terrorist to the US-government trained terrorist, many lives are lost trying to maintain the profits of the big Oil companies and our gas tanks full. For "Syriana", the goal of the movie is to help reduce our dependence on oil.

This is why the Bush Crime Family hates the "Hollywood Liberals"... cuz they put out good movies that ruin their propaganda. Like Al Gore reminded us, if it doesn't happen on TV it doesn't exist. With America's attention span going down the crapper we need anything we can use to wake people up... including movies!

Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska assails Bush on Iraq, contending that the White House is "disconnected from reality."

Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee scoffs at Bush's suggestion that perhaps the Pentagon should be the lead agency handling natural disasters.

Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker, contends that the current GOP establishment, mired in scandals, has betrayed the small-government reform agenda that congressional conservatives brought to Washington 10 years ago.

Rep. Thomas G. Tancredo of Colorado charges that Bush is soft on illegal immigration and hasn't done enough to secure our borders against terrorists.

Matthew Continetti, a conservative analyst who is writing a book about the Republican Party, said Friday: "The scandals we're facing are the consequences of being in power so long." ... As for Bush, "you'll see people distancing themselves from him even more. This President is becoming weaker by the day."

To all republicans (and people who know republicans and would like to let em' know wuzzup) the honey moon and the wedding with Bush is OVER! It's done! Bush is toast. He is a miserable failure! Too bad it took damn near 6 YEARS for the right-wingers to figure it out.

Anyone with half an ounce of decency and a respect for this country's ideals and constitution will recognize that George W. Bush and his buddies are the worst sacks of shit to ever take power in the USA.

The recent posts about republican corruption, Bush's new speeches about biological epidemics & military control of US cities, and New York's new terror alerts all smell like the Bush Crime Family might be up their old tricks.

Never has the Republican party been in such terrible shape in the last 10 years. Indictments, investigations, allegations, corruption, faith-based hypocrisy, low poll numbers, dissent within their own party, shit is getting thick for the Bush Crime Family.

They need a new epidemic, a new disaster, a new attack on our peace, a new reason to rally behind the federal government for protection; a new reason to give up more freedoms.

Al Gore will save our democracy!

Our democracy has gone to the dogs and Al Gore will tell you why...

Al Gore (the guy who should have been president for the last 5 years), gave one of the most interesting and eye-opening speeches on Wednesday at a Media Conference in New York.

Off the bat the first thing you notice is how intelligent and wise homeboy is compared to the dumb fuck who's sitting in the White House.

Secondly, Al Gore gives you a detailed explanation, using historical evidence and real facts, as to why our democracy has gone to the dogs. He explains why American's care more about Tom Cruise's new kid over Bush's new threat of martial law. Why bullshit scandals hit the news before serious news reports about global warming's affects on the polar ice caps.

Al Gore and partner Joel Hyatt created a new independently owned cable network called Current TV to address these issues. Right now TV is a one-way street. Whatever Mtv, Fox News, NBC, and those other corporate owned networks want to shove down our throats each day, gets aired.

With Current TV, independent film makers (like you... their website even teaches you how to become one), can upload their videos and have them aired for 3 months on Current TV and then get paid up to $1000!

On the Current TV site there were videos about international yo yo champs, hot clubs in Atlanta presented by a midget, Perdue's awful slaughtering of chickens, raw footage of the Gaza strip pullout, proof of 2004's stolen elections, an amateur's behind-the-scenes look at how to make a low budget fight scene (complete with the scabs and the bloody bruises), the truth behind Family Guy's sudden cancellation, and a whole lot of other videos on other topics.

Whatever is missing from TV will be covered and presented by the average citizen like you. It's time for us to strike that balance in television and compete with the big corporations for our chance to have our voices heard.

Al Gore is really pissed off at the current lack of public discourse and exchange of ideas. He's got his shit together and lets hope Current TV can give this democracy a jump-start back in the right direction.

Bush wants to use military to enforce quarantines

If you are a libertarian or you actually care about civil liberties and less government... it's time to shit your pants.

This has got to be one of the scariest news items to hit today. The Bush Crime Family, who are responsible for the Patriot Act and all types of attacks on our bill of rights and the constitution, are hinting at "possible outbreaks of avian bird flu" and the need to use military force to quarantine entire cities... even states!

If you've been paying attention to the history of this country's use of biological and chemical weapons you'll remember how these fuckers will poison everyone from native Americans to entire cities, to our own troops!

Here's what they're saying about the Avian Bird Flu:

Most human cases have been linked to a contact with sick birds, but the World Health Organization has warned the virus could mutate into a form that spreads easily among humans — changing it from a bird virus to a human pandemic flu strain.

Avian bird flu outbreak in the US? Using military force to quarantine entire cities and states? This shit sounds serious and downright scary. Why don't they do everything possible to have the vaccines ready? Is the Bush Crime Family capable of infecting us on purpose for the sake of forcing military control on the American population?

The day US soldiers are on every other street corner and at our airports patrolling and controlling our communities is the day we can officially say we have a police state (some say we already have one).

Report sez "Iraq Intelligence" was DEAD WRONG

The Bush Crime Family hates peace, hates progress, hates life, and above all hates the truth.

The Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction (put together by Bush) presented a detailed report basically detailing just how wrong the secret spy info and intelligence was before and after the war.

Bush replied: "[The Report was] thoughtful and extremely significant, [the] central conclusion is one that I share -- America's intelligence community needs fundamental change to successfully confront the threats of the 21st century."

Yes Bush, our intelligence community would do fine job protecting the USA without your fucking buddies revealing their secret identities to the whole FUCKING WORLD just for doing their jobs!

Hey Bush, eat a dick!

Lets remember this memorable quote from the Downing Street Memo:

Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.

Regardless of what the intelligence reports were saying in 2002, Bush had his mind made up. He wasn't going to allow the UN inspectors or diplomacy work things out. No one can deny that the Iraq War has turned out to be a huge waste of time, money, and most important of all: LIVES.

Now they're blaming the intelligence community for everything. Bush is playing the blame game. We can't trust the Bush Crime Family with any more government restructuring. They'll use this report to justify using the CIA and FBI to shit on our civil liberties some more. (Can you say National IDs and Patriot Act?)

For those of us who care about human life and civil rights you'll agree. Impeach Bush.

Good Cops want to Legalize Drugs

First all, good cops do exist! Second of all, those who have been in the trenches of the "War on Drugs" have seen first hand how corrupt and immoral the entire thing is. Check out these quotes from this article:

"The war on drugs has taken an incredible toll in terms of the loss of our civil liberties, particularly in terms of the Fourth Amendment, from property forfeiture laws that fund law enforcement agencies to warrantless searches. ...Statistics show that whites use more than 70 percent of all illegal drugs, blacks are sentenced to prison for drug crimes seven times more often than whites.

... In 2004 in the United States " with a higher percent of its population in prison than any country in the world" the incarceration rate for black males was 4,919 per 100,000 (compared to 726 overall).

Even considering the harm that drugs can cause, however, LEAP members believe that the war on drugs is even more harmful. Legalizing drugs, on the other hand, would take profits out of the hands of criminals and hugely reduce the need for people to commit crime to pay for drugs, they say.

"Don’t forget my favorite," Woolridge said. "If, as Bush said, drug money funds terrorists, [then] legalizing drugs would take half a billion dollars a day out of Afghanistan alone, much of which is going to al Qaeda to buy weapons to be used to kill our boys. We could eliminate that overnight."
