The cost of the illegal IRAQ war hits home after Hurricane Katrina

What's happening in the city of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is both depressing and heart-breaking. The Mayor said that the city is 80% underwater and its getting worse because of broken levees.

In this new article from pnionline.com, they drop more bad news, this is how the story goes (and how the Bush Crime Family is to blame... again!):

When flooding [in New Orleans] in May 1995 killed six people, Congress authorized the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project, or SELA.

Yet after 2003, the flow of federal dollars toward SELA dropped to a trickle. The Army Corps of Engineers never tried to hide the fact that the spending pressures of the war in Iraq, as well as homeland security -- coming at the same time as federal tax cuts -- was the reason for the strain.

In early 2004, as the cost of the conflict in Iraq soared, President Bush proposed spending less than 20 percent of what the Corps said was needed...

The $750 million Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity Hurricane Protection project is another major Corps project, which remains about 20% incomplete due to lack of funds... That project consists of building up levees and protection for pumping stations on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Orleans, St. Bernard, St. Charles and Jefferson parishes.

The Lake Pontchartrain project is slated to receive $3.9 million in the president's 2005 budget... [but] about $20 million is needed.

That June, with the 2004 hurricane season starting, the Corps ... begged for $2 million for urgent work that Washington was now unable to pay for. From the June 18, 2004 Times-Picayune:

"The system is in great shape, but the levees are sinking. Everything is sinking, and if we don'’t get the money fast enough to raise them, then we can'’t stay ahead of the settlement," he said. "The problem that we have isn'’t that the levee is low, but that the federal funds have dried up so that we can'’t raise them."

The levee board noted in October 2004 that the feds were also now NOT paying for a hoped-for $15 million project to better shore up the banks of Lake Pontchartrain.

The 2004 hurricane season ... was the worst in decades. In spite of that, the federal government came back this spring with the steepest reduction in hurricane- and flood-control funding for New Orleans in history.

To wrap things up, Bush lied us into an illegal war, the fucking war cost an arm and a leg, as a result New Orlean's Hurricane and Flooding emergency projects took deep cuts in federal funding, Katrina came thru and ruined everything, the levees couldnt handle the flooding, now thousands are dead or homeless, and Bush was out playing Golf in California while this was happening.

Had we NOT gone to war maybe New Orleans would have been in better shape to withstand this Hurricane. Thanks to the Bush Crime Family we will never know. We smell lower approval ratings and impeachment in the air!

Army Reserve Brigadier General Janis Karpinski is speaking out about what really went on in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison where Iraqi prisoners were tortured and Geneva Conventions were shitted on by everyone involved. The sad part about this whole story is that the soldiers took the blame, soldiers got punished, and in the battlefield the soldiers are still feeling the retaliation for the horrors at Abu Ghraib.

But what about the Neo-Con Republican leaders in the Pentagon and White House who encouraged and authorized the abuse? Those fuckers are sitting at a desk in an air-conditioned environment while our soldiers are in the desert heat having to show face for the sins of the Bush Crime Family. That's bullshit!

Kanye asks Hip Hop to grow up, stop bashing Gay folks!

This is quite a bold step for any Hip Hop artist, but Kanye West is the right one to do it. During a recent interview with MTV, the College Dropout explained:

West says hip-hop was always about "speaking your mind and about breaking down barriers, but everyone in hip-hop discriminates against gay people." He adds that in slang, gay is "the opposite, the exact opposite word of hip-hop."

Kanye's message: "Not just hip-hop, but America just discriminates. And I wanna just, to come on TV and just tell my rappers, just tell my friends, `Yo, stop it."'

He mentions the turning point in his life occurred when a beloved cousin revealed he was gay which caused Kanye to grow not to discriminate against the lifestyle. This a beautiful step towards spreading more tolerance within Hip Hop. We as Hip Hopers can take this art form to new heights and create social change by leading our people down a more progressive and productive path.

Leave the hating and the discriminating to the bitch-ass Bush-loving dumb fucks of this country. Latinos and Black folks have been hated on forever in this country, why must we succumb to the same hate by passing it on to Homosexuals and even our own women? It's time to follow Kanye West's example and step our game up as far as the Hip Hop culture is concerned!

Cindy Sheehan's mini protest outside of George W. Bush's Texas ranch has turned into a nation wide anit-war revolution that's waking up true conservatives and Christians who are really starting to smell the bullshit of the Bush Crime Family. Cindy, who lost her son in Iraq last year, is giving every bitch-ass Republican a tough "vacation" this month.

The Washington Post couldn't have said it better:

Republican Party leaders are worried that the so-called Peace Mom has brought long-simmering unease over Iraq to a boil by galvanizing anti-war activists. They fear that protests will strike a chord with the large number of Americans who have long felt uneasy about the war yet have been giving Bush the benefit of the doubt.

The president's falling poll numbers _ less than 40 percent approve of his handling of Iraq _ could drop further, threatening his military plans in Iraq, his agenda at home and Republican political prospects in the 2006 congressional and gubernatorial elections.

Tell a friend, the lies of the Bush Crime Family are over. The damage they have done to this country and the lives of American families, like Cindy Sheehan's, has been enough. We've had enough, its time to elect Democrats (or responsible Libertarians, Greens, Independents, etc...) in 2006 who will pledge to IMPEACH BUSH and every last war criminal in this administration.

Naw, just kidding (hopefully)... but ask Katherine Harris how it feels to get shited on and betrayed by her own political party. Stealing an election and betraying the American people is not an easy job, this woman really went all out for George W. Bush and the Republican party. So now that she needs their support in her campaign against FL Democratic Senator Bill Nelson, the Republicans are scared shitless that she's gonna loose badly. So the Republicans are asking Joe Scarborough (some dumb fuck with a Cable news show, but we don't have cable so who cares...) to run against Harris for the nomination and the chance to challenge the Democratic Senator. Its not about loyalty with these folks, its about winning at all costs weather it be lying, cheating, or shitin'... on their own. We hope she flips out and spills the beans on the election fraud and the dirty tactics of the Bush Crime Family. It's a beautiful thing to watch these fascist pigs tear each other down. IRAQ: The gates of HELL are now open!

An Iraqi correspondent writes: "The gates of hell are now open - thanks to the US invasion - and the fires have enveloped almost everything in our country. There is no electricity, no water, no fuel, no food rations, no security, no sewage disposal.

And now we are at the mercy of the stars because neither US troops nor the government have the slightest idea of who is blowing up whom and why."

And, yet, Bush continues his insane repetitions of how freedom is on the march in Iraq. What the Bush Crime Family has done to this country - its crazed dictator and former US puppet notwithstanding - will rank among the ugliest chapters in US foreign policy history.

Amen... Mike Malloy, of course, is the inspiration for the term "Bush Crime Family". Use it often and around the confused republicans.

Bush: Worst president ever?

Some will say (sorry for using the crappy ass "some will say" FUX Newz tactic of making it seem as if a personal point is shared by many others, but in this case its true...), that Bush is the worst president ever (here's proof, and here too!).
In a newly released poll, it seems that the country is finally waking up to the stupidity, the lies, and the bullshit of the Bush Crime Family. In a new AP story they drop a few findings such as:

Americans' approval of President Bush's handling of Iraq is at its lowest level yet

Approval of Bush's handling of Iraq ... dipped to 38 percent.

Midwesterners and young women and men with a high school education or less were most likely to abandon Bush on his handling of Iraq in the last six months.

Bush's overall job approval was at 42 percent, with 55 percent disapproving.

The portion of people who consider Bush honest has dropped slightly from January, when 53 percent described him that way while 45 percent did not. Now, people are just about evenly split on that issue — with 48 percent saying he's honest and 50 percent saying he's not.

But the portion of people who view his confidence as arrogance has increased from 49 percent in January to 56 percent now.

Six in 10 said they think the country is headed down the wrong track

Basically what that poll is saying is that people are starting to notice that Bush is a lying, arrogant, rat bastard who is sending our country down the crapper! From allowing traitors to keep jobs in the white house, shitting on the entire Senate while they are on vacation, making profits off War, and lying to the American people, this jerk-off is giving the presidency a bad name.

"This country is a monarchy," said Charles Nuutinen, a 62-year-old independent from Greenville, Wis. "He's turning this country into Saudi Arabia. He does what he wants. He doesn't care what the people want."
