US Troops DIED for Corporate Profit!

"Military values such as duty, honor and country had been replaced by PROFIT motives in Iraq"

Check out this new article in the LA Times on the "suicide" (his family believes it was an assassination) of Col. Ted Westhusing, a military ethicist who volunteered to go to Iraq.

He's the kind of military officer that had honor, honesty, and loyalty for his country... kinda like the perfect model soldiers we saw in the G.I. Joe cartoons. But when Col. Ted Westhusing arrived in Iraq and discovered that it was a bullshit war for the sake of profit he found himself in a twilight-zone episode that tested his sanity and his dignity. At the end of this tragic episode he was found in a pool of blood... the Army sez it was suicide while his family doesn't buy the story. Read it all and judge for yourself.

Now lets run thru the series of events that led to his death:

1) The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) starts planning for an invasion of Iraq in the 1990's.

2) A shit load of those PNAC members end up in the highest seats of power when Bush steals the 2000 election.

3) PNAC said in the 90's that we needed a new Pearl Harbor to kick off their world domination party and then guess what happened? Oh yeah, 9/11.

4) Iraq was invaded and Vice President Dick "Go Fuck Yourself" Cheney's old company Halliburton was awarded BILLIONS (with a "B") of dollars in contracts.

5) Iraq turns into a shit-hole, money gets stolen, overpaid private security guards kill Iraqi citizens, Iraqi citizens strike back in an insurgency, violence is crazy, Halliburton and corporate contractors hire more overpaid private security guards for protection, they kill more Iraqi citizens, Iraq citizens strike back in...

You get the point.

This horrible situation that existed for the sake of robbing the national U.S. Treasury for corporate profits created a hell-hole of death, greed, and un-ethical behavior, the kind that Col. Westhusing fought to eradicate through his military service.

Rest in Peace Colonel Ted Westhusing, we'll make sure the Bush Crime Family gets hung out to dry for their crimes!

Bush fears the Truth, Chavez, and Chinese Doors

Three big embarrassments for the Bush Crime Family:

1) Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez provides cheap heating oil for NYC and Boston's poor. Something the Bush Crime Family and the Republican-controlled government WONT do. WHY does one of the wealthiest nations on earth even NEED charity from Venezuela? This is pure bullshit. Republicans have no one to blame but their greedy selves. America should take care of it's own first... but Republicans only do that for the wealthy.

2) Bush looses a fierce battle with a Chinese Door. Check out Bush's surprised and embarrassed monkey grin. New classic Bush line: "I was trying to escape!"

3) Bush KNEW that Saddam and Iraq had NO CONNECTION WITH 9/11. None! Here's the proof. Bush lied, Bush lied, Bush lied... and Cheney too. Gotta repeat it for the "dumb, deaf, and blind"... aka "extreme right-wing-nuts".

The Bush Crime Family's bullshit, lies, and crimes against humanity provide us with endless blog posts on why they suck and why Republicans (and those few coward-ass Democrats) are the scum of the earth!

Okay, now that you got the point that Bush sucks donkey balls in hell with Satan... we're gonna talk about real solutions to our current issues. At the top of the list is America's dependence on foreign oil.

Bush's family has profited from the oil business for decades. The big oil companies in the US love the profits from having our federal government in their pockets. "Big Oil" is like the Mafia in this country and they're preventing any effort towards promoting Alternative sources of energy.

But did you know that the state of Montana has enough coal that (when converted into liquid synthetic fuel) it could almost take us off the foreign oil fix completely? Aint that some shit? Why haven't we taken advantage of this? Because the big oil companies have always "cock-blocked" the development of synthetic fuels that use America's own coal reserves. They chose their profits over the needs of the American people and the federal government couldn't give a shit!

John Murtha got 5000 pound Cojones, mang!

Murtha proves again that Bush hates the Troops!

Today, Democratic representative from Pennsylvania, John Murtha, gave one of the best fucking speeches you'll hear coming out of congress.

He's a decorated Vietnam War Veteran who initially voted in favor of giving Bush the power to use force in Iraq (big mistake) but has now spoken up FOR THE TROOPS. He spoke from the heart and used common sense in his speech when he called this war a complete FAILURE! The first paragraph spells it all:

The war in Iraq is not going as advertised. It is a flawed policy wrapped in illusion. The American public is way ahead of us. The United States and coalition troops have done all they can in Iraq, but it is time for a change in direction. Our military is suffering. The future of our country is at risk. We can not continue on the present course. It is evident that continued military action in Iraq is not in the best interest of the United States of America, the Iraqi people or the Persian Gulf Region.

Representative Murtha pointed out that the presence of US troops IS the reason for the violence using hard evidence from the front-lines.

If you drool for more blood, death, destruction, and killings... then keep supporting this war. But, if you care about humanity, peace, tolerance... and heck, even about National Security (what John Murtha cares about) then you'll agree that an immediate withdraw from Iraq is necessary.

In the News on the DL section Pizzo pointed out this lil' double standard when it comes to movie posters. Apparently since a whole lotta folks got their panties in a bunch over 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" movie posters because there was a gun in them, Paramount pictures was forced to remove them and use a "kinder and gentler" version instead.

Pizzo mentions:

Now, that's all fine and dandy, but is this the first time a gun has been featured on a movie poster? I don't recall any uproar when [Terminator 2] came out. Hmmmm....Much bigger gun in the governor's hands. Who's the man with the master plan?

With indictments in the White House, errors in the pre-war intelligence, the FBI admitting that the 9/11 Hijackers were actually under surveillance, there is no doubt that the national security breaches that we've suffered were from pure government incompetence.

Why then are they still pushing the disastrous "Patriot Act" to force the American public to take the blame? Stripping civil liberties is NOT going to solve our national security crisis, but better leadership in the executive branch will (... meaning... Impeach BUSH).

Carter and Baker are insane! National ID's for voting?

Jimmy Carter and the rat-bastard James A. Baker III put out a new report on election reform and one of the main suggestions was to require NATIONAL ID's to allow you to vote.

To some of us who are not paying attention and living on the moon for the last year... you'll realize that there are dumb fucks in this country trying to turn this place into the fucking Soviet Union. This is the United States of America!

But with the Patriot Act getting more support from the Republicans, camera's on every corner, the government spying on it's citizens , and the National ID's becoming law... now they want to make voting a lot harder.

This is like a new "poll tax", just another burden to keep people from being able to vote. Forcing us all to get National ID's is basically forcing us to give up our privacy just to vote. We understand James Baker III recommending this bullshit, but not Jimmy Carter. Say it aint so Jimmy!

The Future of the Media?

With newspaper circulation dropping, big newspaper companies being forced to sell, and more and more people turning to the internet to get up-to-the-minute news... the future of the media is clear.

Analyze how DailyKos.com is now the most visited blog online (source: TTLB) with damn near 800,000 visitors a day. Clearly, people are constantly seeking alternatives to the conservative and corporate media machines that have dominated the mainstream for the last century.

Also, think about how internet access is going to become a public utility, kinda like electricity, sewer and water services, and our telephone lines. Soon every man, woman, and child will be online for little or no money!

The playing field for getting our info is being leveled. Imagine the day when no single voice or ideology has a monopoly on the media or the distribution of content.

Independent journalists, artists, musicians, photographers, etc., can spread their message in an open-market of ideas. (Kinda like what Al Gore mentioned in a speech a while back.)

This beautiful vision of the future is what our founding fathers imagined when they made this great experiment called the United States. A place where the people can discuss, debate, and form logical solutions to society's problems.

Today, the pussy-ass Bush Crime Family and the bitch-ass corporate media still censor dissenting voices and ideas. Their lies, propaganda, and coordinated cover-ups have gotten us into a whole lot of shit this past 6 years. But if these new clues on the future of the media are any indication... "we the people" are going to have the last laugh.

With Bush's approval ratings hitting an all-time low of 35% (and Vice Prez Dick "Go Fuck Yourself" Cheney sitting at a sad 19% approval rating) our neighbors down in South America are also shitting on the Bush Crime Family.

Lets take a trip back to 1998 when President Bill Clinton was lying to the American public on national TV about getting head from intern Monica Lewinski. According to the Republican Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr (who wrote the pornographic "Starr Report") the following is an impeachable offence:

... if there was evidence that a constitutional officer in the current White House had lied to the country, on national television, about a subject that was under a federal investigation.

Using that standard... Clinton got impeached!

Now lets fast forward to November 2005, using the same standard set by Ken Starr and the Republicans of the 90's, is anyone we know of in the Bush Crime Family impeachable?

Yeah, Dick Cheney!

Is Cheney a constitutional officer? Yes. Did he lie to the country? Yes. On national television? Yes. About a subject that was under a federal investigation at the time? Yes.
