Jay-Z bans Cristal over "racist" remarks

That's the word coming out of Sohh.com:

"It has come to my attention that the managing director of Cristal, Frederic Rouzaud views the 'hip-hop' culture as "unwelcome attention." I view his comments as racist and will no longer support any of his products through any of my various brands including The 40/40 Club nor in my personal life" said Jay-Z, via a statement.

Jay-Z and his 40/40 Club franchise will now be serving only Krug and Dom Perignon to patrons thirsting for plush champagne products.

Jigga has power, but he's not Wal-Mart. Those fuckers put Rubbermaid under just for not lowering prices. If Sean Carter had the power to sink Cristal over those racist comments it would be a different story. Lets hope the entire Hip Hop community (the rich ones who care, anyways) and businesses that live off our culture join Jigga in the boycott on Cristal champagne. How about that for "unwelcomed attention" you pricks!

I read about this the other day and could hardly believe the audacity and balls this guy had. Some people have mastered the delicate topic of race (like Chris Rock), but for the most part, that's off limits, and a comment such as Rouzaud's is blatant in its bigotry. Here's hoping sales tank.

I hope the sales of all the companies that funded the Bush Crime Family (Wal-mart, Dell, Wendy's, Exxon/Mobil, McDonalds, UPS, etc) all tank also. You have a great blog by the way, keep up the fight!
