Zero to 60 in 4 seconds on a Cell Phone battery
Holy shit!
This is Silicon Valley's answer to the Big Auto / Big Oil cartel who have kept decent electrical cars from hitting the market. Introducing Tesla Motors and the new electrical Roadster that can hit 60 mph in 4 seconds with an equivalent fuel efficiency of 135 miles per gallon, WITHOUT the use of gasoline. This is an incredible vehicle that I'd personally scoop up if I had the money. They are planning a sedan to hit the streets by 2008.
Electric cars will reduce our dependancy on foriegn oil. Think about that. It doesn't matter where the electricity to power your car comes from, we can easily adapt and install more wind, solar, hydro, and renewable sources for our electric needs.

Laurie, its better than a hybrid, its a fully electrical car. The company also has corporate partners that will install solar panels on your house that will charge the Tesla Roadster with renewable energy. Fully electric beats Hybrid any day since hybrid still burns fosil-fuels (or corn, or grass) and we can switch the source from power plants to wind or solar energy farms.
