In Genocide's Wake: Darfur photo essay

It's a sad story that is being ignored largely because of the War in Iraq. We're capable of "walking and chewing gum" at the same time. Click on the image to check out Vanity Fair's new photo essay of the genocide in Darfur. Time to start shifting our gears to help prevent another kind of genocide.

There's no gain to be had in Darfur, and Dubya will continue to turn his back on the atrocities there, focusing instead on countries whose tyrants sit on loads of valuable oil. I suppose in the grand scheme of things, people always were less important than money, but now it's just blatant and in our faces.

laurie i agree with you. I am a 16 year old girl who had no idea of such things. until i had come apon the task of a assigment in english class on genocide. i fount about the problems in darfur. I find it horrible how teens in america today are so self obsessed and care nothing about other people. i was one of them. But i plan to change that and try my best to do something for the people in darfur.
its like one of my great musicains "linkin park" had produced a song apon the topic of wars and said we care so much for places like iraq but we dont care about the things that happen daily. A bomb could have blown the masque up yesterday and no one cares. so many people get left behind these days.
