Give up your land, this is a stick up!

The Supreme Court just gave the government the right to snatch up your land (aka your house/property) and give it to another private entity for any purpose, preferably to make more money in taxes. So if you own a crib in the hood and the local government wants to put up some new hotels, office space, or a new mall in it's place they legally can. No questions asked... get your ass off your property buddy! Ain't that some shit?

Check out what Consumeraffairs.com had to say:
"The Court simply got the law wrong today, and our Constitution and country will suffer as a result,"” said Scott Bullock, senior attorney for the Institute for Justice. "With today’s ruling, the poor and middle class will be most vulnerable to eminent domain abuse by government and its corporate allies. The 5-4 split and the nearly equal division among state supreme courts shows just how divided the courts really are. This will not be the last word."”

Susette Kelo, one of the homeowners challenging eminent domain abuse, said, "“I was in this battle to save my home and, in the process, protect the rights of working class homeowners throughout the country. I am very disappointed that the Court sided with powerful government and business interests, but I will continue to fight to save my home and to preserve the Constitution."”

This is pure garbage! Blame Justice Stevens, Justice Souter, Justice Ginsberg, Justice Breyer and Justice Kennedy. The dissenters were O'Connor, Rehnquist, Scalia, and Thomas. Damn... even Scalia had our back!!

Like I said, this is the first step. What's the saddest part though? It's the fact that this isn't even front page news or being reported loud as hell on TV news. Fuck, even the goddamn blog community isn't picking this up. This for the most part is more partisan bullshit when the argument isn't even about politics. It's about the basis of this country. Forget the founding fathers, people like Locke and Hobbes, the people that the founding fathers were insipred by when they wrote the constitution are rolling in their graves today.

Like I told you over the phone. This, like Real ID, isn't a partisan issue. It's not about Republicans or Democrats or Conservatives or Liberals; it's an attack on every single person in this country - even those in the powerful elite.

Show me one government that hasn't tried to overrule the will of the people and I'll show you the government that was there to work for the unicorns and magical leprechauns that lived in thier country.

Utter Bullshit.
